BREAKING: Digital SAT to replace in-person testing

The SAT will now be administered digitally for international applicants, starting in March 2023. The new streamlined exam, provided by the College Board, makes it more convenient for students around the globe to take the SAT from the comfort of their own home or school.

Over 45,000 students have taken part in the digital SAT pilot program and more than 80% of them reported a better experience with the digital SAT. Here are a few things that will change with the new digital SAT:

• The time taken for the exam will be reduced from three hours to two hours.
• Reading and Math sections will be shorter.
• Calculators will be permitted throughout the Math section.
• Free practice tests will be available.
• Students will be able to take the SAT on their own laptop or tablet, or a device provided by their school.

The New SAT

Students can take the new SAT starting March 2016. It will replace the current SAT and be offered throughout the school year. Most students in the class of 2017 will take the new SAT. For students preparing to take the SAT in the next two years, there’s no need to panic or change studying plans. The announced changes to the SAT won’t go live until 2016 and for students who will need to take the “new” SAT, rest assured that TFU Prep is already working on updating its TFU’s Prep SAT curriculum to reflect these changes.

New IELTS for UK Visa

If you are applying for a UK visa in the UK, there is an IELTS test for you called “IELTS Academic for UK Visas and Immigration.”This test is for test takers wishing to study in the UK below degree level or others who are required to take a SELT test for a direct application to UK Visas and Immigration. The test involves Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The test fee is THB 10,440.

The test fee is 2,700 Baht.
